What I realized about Diets and losing weight

Helloooo you!

I know today is the third Saturday of September and yes I said the second Saturday will be a cooking day and this post may be a food related

BUT

I kind of realized that I dont even eat properly, like I sometimes don't even have three meals a day..
So yeah I guess I was too optimistic the day that I thought to make food every second Saturday haha

What I thought doing or posting every second Saturday?
I don't know yet but I feel like I could talk about something health or food related...we'll see.

So the last week was a week full of stress and mood swings and yeah also thoughts about losing weight and dieting.

But a special person, I know you're reading this so again thank you!, made me realize something.

I feel like a lot women.
I'm not happy with my body.

But instead of starting a diet and lose as much weight as I can...I want to try to actually eat properly.

Last week I understood that I don't drink enough at all.
It took me two days to drink one litre of water...
AND like I said before, I don't even have three meals.
I don't breakfast which is really unhealthy and sometimes I just forget to eat.

So instead of dieting and being unhappy because you have to quit food you may like or enjoy,
I will try to be healthier.

I think it will not just help my body, call me weird but I really think eating healthy can help your soul.
If you have enough energy, and you're hydrated...that sounded smart, you will be happier and less stressed.

So yeah, whoever is starting a diet or actually doing one...please think about this post,
Plus..if we all don't diet and we all have a bit more weight...it will be normal if you get what I mean..

Probably not but oh well.

I know this post wasn't a recipe but it was at least food related.

Sorry for dissapointing you but I once almost burnt our kitchen and now that we moved house...I don't think my mother would let me even try to cook something again hahaha

I hope you have a nice and beautiful week

The sad story of the waiters

BOOM! SURPRISE! Today is not cooking Saturday, it's Surprise Saturday.
Guess you didn't see that coming.
Are you surprised? I bet you are.

So now let's get back to the serious face because this post means a lot to me.
I hope you enjoy reading and appreciate your beautiful life more after this post.
P.s Have a wonderful week my friend :)

At the beginning of August I got the pleasure to join my grandmother on a cruise around Norway.
On this cruise were a lot of waiters from India and the philippines.

Everytime for Dinner, each family got their own table where they’ve eaten every evening with the same waiters serving them.
The table I was sitting at had the perfect view on every waiter and his “table” where he organized his work.
Some of them seemed very sympathetic and whenever you looked at them they smiled.
Others seemed really concentrated, like my waiters.

The last evening I decided to stay after dinner and talk to them.
I asked my waiter for how long he was already working as a waiter and the answer was nine months.
When I asked him if he liked he said no.
He told me he absolutely hated it but there was no other option for him.
He was a 29 years old man. Married with two kids at the age of nine and six.

I asked the other waiters if they liked it.
Some of them did some of them didn’t.

Honestly I had to control myself to not start crying.
They work on these cruises for nine months straight until they get the chance to fly home for two months until they have to get back on the cruise.
Every single one of them was married.

One of them was 40 years old and had an 18 years old son.
He was working on the cruise for 14 years now and he loved it.
He said who else would get the chance to see the whole world?
I guess that’s true.

Another one told me they earn 500€ in a month.
That’s nothing for all the effort they have to put in.

I stayed talking to my waiter and asked him about his normal day on a cruise.
He wakes up at 6:00AM and starts working because he needs to prepare the restaurant for breakfast.
Then he needs to serve and clean while that.
After breakfast he needs to clean all up and prepare everything for lunch.
Same serving while that and cleaning after.
Between that, he sometimes gets a little break where he normally does paper work.

And then, there’s dinner.
There are two dinner times on the cruise so he works straight through until 11:45PM.
After that he goes to bed.

This is how his day looks like for nine months.
He said sometimes but really rare they get a day off.
And for what?
500€ in a month.
Before saying goodbye he told me he could see in my eyes how shocked and heartbroken I was.
He said it’s okay and that I don’t have to worry about any of them. They’re all doing fine.
But in my eyes it’s not okay.

And I told him that I really wish he gets another option and that he gets the chance to work in his country so he can be with his wife and his kids.
I still often think about the waiters.

Now that I’ve seen their life…and still they are so happy and full of positive thoughts.
We should be happy and apreciate everything we have in life.
I feel like this gets lost more and more nowadays.

How to: Deal with sadness and madness

Sometimes you might feel like the rollercoster of your life doesn’t go up.
No..it goes down.
But why?
And what are you supposed to do when that happens?
How do you have to deal with it and how do you normally deal with it?

Again all I will tell you in this blog…is not more or less than the things and situations that I have experienced.
As the title of this post I’ll try or attempt to explain how I deal with my sadness and madness and how I should deal with it to get out of these moods.

Here’s an example, so you can understand my actions and reactions better.
Take a bottle.
The bottle stands for yourself and your soul.
Now take water.
The water stands for negative memories or emotions.
Now take a bit of water every now and then and put it in the bottle.
Of course nothing will happen.
The bottle is still the same.
You take the same amount of water every time you put it in the bottle…everytime you put water in the bottle it gets closer to be full.
But you will come to a point where no more water will fit.
That’s the point where you’ve had enough.

Now there are two ways on how I react to this full bottle of water.
Either I break or I explode.
What happens when I break?
Well…I start crying and all I want is to be alone.

And when I explode?
I think this one is self-explaining…
I start running away from everything or start an argue without any reason because the bottle is still full and there is no more space for any more water.

Why did I choose this example?
It shows that no matter what it is to fill the bottle up…if it’s a little unimportant thing like an argue with a friend..the bottle is full and this is the point where all the emotions come up again.

What is the best way to deal with this?
Well in my eyes, there is no other way than just let go.
Take the time you need. Alone.
Listen to music and if you want and if it helps, cry.
When I was younger my parents used to tell me that crying doesn’t help.
That’s wrong.
All these different emotions are just too much to handle.
And it feels good to just let go.

But still…I didn’t reach the point of knowing how to get over a full bottle and how to solve that problem. Probably the answer to that is..don’t let everything get close to your heart.

If something hurts your feelings or someone makes you angry or mad…try to remember things, people or memories that used to make you happy.

Think of the good things in life and try to keep these positive thoughts in your head.

I know it’s not easy since I have to deal with these emotions almost every day.
But I try my best to change this and to keep positive thoughts.

A new beginning with a new concept

Sorry for not posting in a while..again..but I was on holiday and yeah the blog wasn't the first thing that came up to my mind when I found wifi somewhere.

BUT

I did think about my blog alot and I came to the decision to change some things.
In the last months I realized that it's not easy to post daily as I'm not always in the mood to write or I haven't got time.

Also, I think quality stands over quantity..so all I want is to write good blogposts you will enjoy.
That's why I need to change something.

I decided to post every Saturday.

But you won't get any random posts every Saturday.
I decided that each Saturday will get a topic.

So Saturday No.1: How to: ...!
Every first Saturday in the month will be a "How to:"-post.
As my "How to: Be happy!"
With these posts, I'm not thinking of writing tutorials on how to do makeup or hair..I mean I can do that aswell but my first thought on this topic is more about giving advices..well I'll attempt to.

Saturday No.2: Cooking Day!
I thought that I'd try to share a recipe with you.
Whether I'll cook or bake or whatever I'll be making.
Okay this one is kind of random I agree..

Saturday No.3: Surprise Saturday!
The third Saturday in the month will be a surprise day.
So I will write and post about anything.
It can be any deep thought, a travel post, whatever comes up to my mind.

Saturday #4: Taking over Saturday!
So I may have mentioned that I wanted to let others write a post for my blog.
I really like the idea of sharing ideas, experiences and advices.
That's why I will try to find people (already found them but they couldn't be bothered to actually start writing)
and let them be a kind of a "guest-blogger"

That's it for today.
Next post will go up this Saturday and it's a "How to:"
I hope you've had a nice summer by the way. (:

Exploring the world - London

Hey everyone!

So today I thought I start sharing the last couple of weeks with you.
And it’s better if I start in a chronological order…otherwise it could get a bit confusing.

So the first thing on my list would be my trip to London.
It was one of the cities I always wanted to visit and I loved it.
Yeah I haven’t seen whole London and yeah it probably was the tourist corners that I’ve seen

BUT

I loved the city because it’s so different to Germany and especially to Munich.

What I realized was that English people are so nice and polite.

Not that germans weren’t polite but…let’s say in a different way.
What I mean with a different way is that in Germany no one cares about the other person.
Everyone is in a rush and doesn’t care if someone needs help.

I don’t know if this speaks for whole England but the people I’ve seen were really helpful and everyone took their time.
No one was in a rush. They talked to the cashiers and waited in line, they didn’t mind.
No one in Germany would stay calm if you waited so long in line.

So that’s probably the biggest thing that amazed me.
One thing that I didn’t like was that the city was full of tourists but I guess that was my own fault since I was only walking around where tourists would walk around aswell….which is understandable since I was a tourist…okay nevermind about that one thing haha

Another thing I loved!
SO MANY ARTISTS!
Whether it were musicians, dancers, Charlie Chaplin..s
There were so many of them. Can’t do that in Germany so easily.
I loved it.

But the best thing was probably the food.
Especially at Camden Town, can’t add anything to that…amazing.

I'm sorry this post wasn't so detailed about what I visited etc. but it was just too much.
London is so big and if someone thinks about visiting it, I would highly recommend it.

Hope you enjoyed reading (:
Have a nice day :D

New Inspiration

Hey you.
Remember me?
I hope so...if not, well I'm Bobi and yeap...this is my blog.

Believe it or not it is! Yeah didn't seem like it last month I agree...BUT
But I was extremely busy.
I flew to London for a week (details are coming),
After I came back we moved house (details are coming after everything's done)
And then, I went to Norway for two weeks (psssstttt, guess what, details are coming!)

And now?
Now I'm back home for about five days until I leave for Croatia for another three weeks.

So now that I explained what I was doing in a short cut, you're probably thinking "But hey Bobi my beautiful, extremely funny friend! What's the deal on here now? What's waiting for me?" - Exactly! The long versions of my short cuts.

I want to share with you my time in London but especially my time in Norway because  I feel like it changed me.
Sometimes you meet people and they change your life, you view on your life.
Well this happened to me and I can't wait to share my memories with you.

So I hope you stay tuned or however you call it.
If not, have a nice summer! Enjoy the sun (:

I'm alive

I'm alive
The way he looked into my soul
It was unpredictable
He knew what i felt
What i saw
What i was pushing away
And yet he saved me from my tears

I'm alive
With every step he takes
Towards myself
Taking my fears and my pain away
Its drifting away

I'm alive
Because of the love he's giving me
The hope he's sharing with me
And the happiness that overwhelms me whenever i think about these little things he does to make me feel alive.
